As of 12/31/13 McGraw-Hill Education (MHE) discontinued sale of Fathom and TinkerPlots. As developers of the software, we (Bill Finzer and Cliff Konold) are attempting to bring the software back into distribution. We are especially concerned about instructors who are about to begin courses that depend on Fathom and/or TinkerPlots.
We’ve posted a “letter” to the community of faculty users that explains the current situation. We welcome your comments. We’ll provide additional posts as we learn more.

Great news. We’ve heard from at least three of you who in the last few hours have been granted student licenses for courses this semester. The person to contact within McGraw-Hill Education is Michelle Harper . Michelle and others at MHE who have worked this out, thank you.
Michelle’s email is michelle.harper@mheducation.com
Heard from Michelle Harper that she is traveling and thus may not be able to respond quickly to emails. She suggests contacting Mandy Gray with your requests. Her email is Mandy.Gray@mheducation.com
I’m happy to report that MHE supplied us with a single code that covers enough licenses for high spring enrollment class that uses TP. But then at the suggestion of my bookstore manager, I returned to Mandy at MHE to ask if she was confident the problem would be resolved for summer or at least Fall, 2014. Her response was simultaneously generous and concerning, “Regretfully, I am unable to say if there will be a new owner for the program or not but I would be willing to add additional registrations if you could estimate your enrollment for the rest of the year.” Is there any thought that TP or Fathom will not return to the market at all?
